College singers and instrumentalists, make your plans now to come and study at one of the most spectacular summer locations on the planet... the Little Traverse Bay area of northwestern Michigan. Bay View is one of the original Chautauqua communities in the country, providing a refreshing, serene place to spend your summer months honing your craft in one of the most collegial, supportive environments to be found anywhere. This, when combined with an incredible festival season with over 50 public events and invigorating programming, means you'll be enveloped in world-class repertoire ranging from classical to pops, and from jazz to opera.

The programs we offer in 2016 include:

- Chamber Music Festival (2, 3, 4, or 8 week options for an intensive experience with chamber music as part of a brass quintet, wind quintet, or string quartet). Apply Now!

- SOARS Program (a 2-week Summer Opera Scenes, Art Song, & Recording Seminar). Apply!

- Mainstage Opera (6 week program featuring a role in La Cenerentola, stage experience, training, and two performances, all in original language and accompanied by chamber orchestra). Join us!

- Mainstage Musical (5 week program featuring a leading role in Evita, stage experience, training, and 3 performances). Audition Now!

- American Negro Spiritual Intensive (1-week intensive featuring study and performance of this important body of repertoire). Join us!

Countdown to 2016... Sooner than you think!

Winter is looming, so why not make your plans now to visit one of the most spectacular summer locations on the planet... the Little Traverse Bay area of northwestern Michigan. Featuring an incredible festival season with over 50 public events and an invigorating Chautauqua environment of the Bay View campus, you'll be surrounded by 8 weeks of world-class repertoire ranging from classical to pops, and from jazz to opera.

Join us for weekly concerts of pops and chamber music, a brnad new production of Evita in July, and our mainstage opera, Rossini's re-telling of the story of Cinderella in a fast-paced, hilarious comedy. Thd Bay View Music Festival, as just one program area of the Bay View Association, features over 30 professional faculty artists, over 100 collegiate musicians, and four major pops concerts a summer,  just to name a few! Come experience the magically creative environment that has existed just outside of Petoskey for well over 100 years!

Montage BV 2015...and a host of other talented performers for an inspiring summer of great music. This, combined with faculty artist chamber music concerts every Wednesday night and our Sunday night vespers concerts at 8pm and you've got plenty of options to enjoy after a long day on the boat.
